Leawood, Kan., October 1, 2026 — WireCo®, the world's leading manufacturer of mission-critical wire rope, synthetic rope and netting, and electromechanical cable, announced today that it is embarking on a project to expand its Rosenberg, Tex., facility, creating a world-class center of excellence for rope production and distribution.
WireCo will expand its current operations in Rosenberg, Tex., with a new 150k sq. ft. facility. In the process, WireCo will consolidate its Houston-area locations into the Rosenberg area. This includes the relocation of its fabrication and structures operations from Kirksville, Mo.
WireCo currently operates a 93k sq. ft facility in Rosenberg, where it produces drill lines, general purpose lifting rope and other products for the wire rope industry. WireCo employs 35 people in Rosenberg today, and this expansion solidifies its increasing presence in the Houston area.
“Houston is a hub for rope activity, so it only makes sense for us to expand our presence in this location,” said Keith White, Chief Executive Officer, WireCo. “We’ll be able to serve customers across our product lines and create a central location that will make us even more effective at meeting market demands.”
The company expects to add nearly 50 jobs as part of the expansion process, allowing it to continue to grow as a member of the community.
WireCo recently hired experienced rope industry veteran Luis Padilla as Chief Operating Officer for North America, and Luis will be based in Rosenberg as he leads the company’s North American efforts.
