Synthetic Fibre Ropes

Steel-equivalent strength at a fraction of the weight

About Crane Ropes

Lankhorst Ropes manufactures high-performance synthetic fibre ropes using ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) and other advanced fibres. These ropes deliver steel-equivalent breaking strengths at a fraction of the weight, making them the preferred choice for deepwater mooring, offshore towing, and heavy-lift operations where handling weight is a critical constraint.

Synthetic fibre ropes eliminate the corrosion, fatigue, and weight penalties associated with steel wire ropes in marine environments. Their high strength-to-weight ratio reduces deck equipment requirements and improves crew safety during deployment and recovery operations.

All Lankhorst synthetic ropes are engineered and tested to recognized offshore standards and are supported by in-house splicing, inspection, and recertification services worldwide.
